Delivered in partnership with MaxCap Group and Growthbuilt, the $150 million project marks the first new luxury apartment development in Chatswood in more than four years – responding to a clear gap in the market for high-quality, owner-occupier focused homes within this key metropolitan centre.
Positioned at 15 Ellis Street, Ethos consists of 49 one, two and three-bedroom residences above 1,200sqm of retail and commercial space, activating three street frontages across Pacific Highway, Ellis Street and Crispe Lane. The project contributes to the continued evolution of Chatswood as a dense, connected and increasingly sophisticated urban precinct.
Designed by SJB, the building has been conceived at a deliberately boutique scale, with just three to five residences per floor. Apartments are generously proportioned, with an emphasis on natural light, cross ventilation and expansive outlooks, reflecting the growing demand from downsizers and owner-occupiers seeking quality over density.
The architecture is defined by a sculptural carved stone façade, referencing the North Shore ridgelines and establishing a strong, enduring identity within the Chatswood skyline. Internally, residences are resolved through a refined material palette, combining premium finishes and fixtures with calm, light-filled interiors designed to support long-term liveability.
Resident amenity includes a dedicated Wellness Studio, alongside a Sky Lounge and terrace that provide spaces for work, relaxation and social connection. The project has achieved a 4 Star Green Star rating, incorporating passive design principles and efficient systems to support long-term sustainability.
Ethos has been well received by the market, with 60 per cent of residences sold at launch following a strong pre-release campaign. The project also recorded a suburb benchmark result, with a three-bedroom sub-penthouse achieving $7.2 million, reinforcing demand for high-quality residential product in Chatswood.
