Jay Carter has joined us as Head of Sales, while Adrian Banks has joined as our new Head of Design & Construction.

Together, they bring more than 50 years of combined experience across the property and construction sectors, joining us from senior leadership roles at some of Australia’s most respected organisations.

Their appointments mark an exciting step forward for Central Element as we continue to expand our development pipeline, strengthen our in-house construction capabilities and deliver remarkable places across Sydney.

Jay Carter, Head of Sales

Jay joins us from Abadeen, where he led sales strategy and performance across the group’s residential portfolio.

With more than two decades of experience across the property sector, Jay has held senior sales and leadership roles with some of Australia’s leading property organisations including Mirvac, Castle Group, Poly Global, Metricon, Lendlease and Government Property NSW. He also founded and scaled his own real estate business.

Bringing an end-to-end understanding of the property lifecycle, Jay will lead sales across our completed projects and future development pipeline.

Adrian Banks, Head of Design & Construction

Adrian brings more than 30 years of construction and development experience across Australia and the UK, joining us most recently from Coronation.

His career includes senior leadership roles with John Holland, Laing O’Rourke and Lend Lease, as well as overseeing the delivery of major residential projects including Mason & Main, Ashbury Terraces, The Foundry at Paper Mill and Charlie Parker.

Adrian joins us at an exciting time as we continue to expand our in-house construction capabilities and progress our growing pipeline of projects.

Continued growth

The appointments follow a period of significant growth for Central Element, with more than 200 apartments delivered across Sydney over the past 12 months and a further 620 apartments planned across our pipeline over the next three years, representing a development pipeline valued at approximately $2 billion.

Our vertically integrated builder-developer model gives us greater control across the development lifecycle, from design and planning through to construction and completion. This end-to-end approach provides greater certainty around quality and delivery as we continue to bring high-quality housing to market.

Recent growth has been underpinned by the completion of Ethos Chatswood, the first new luxury apartment development delivered in Chatswood in more than four years, and heritage restoration project Ballamac Coogee, which achieved a second suburb record with an $11.25 million apartment sale.

Pienza Neutral Bay, which reached completion last year, continues to evolve as a vibrant mixed-use destination, with Bodylove Pilates and Trattor joining Dan Murphy’s and Wholegreen Bakery as its final anchor retailers.

Other projects are now entering key delivery and sales phases, including the forthcoming completion of waterfront development Bianca Drummoyne and the upcoming sales launch of ultra-premium Pearl Bondi.

Our longer-term pipeline includes several projects progressing through state and local government planning processes across some of Sydney’s most tightly held and strategically important locations.

Our Lavender Bay, Greenwich and Bondi Junction projects have been declared State Significant Development, with Central Element advancing three Housing Delivery Authority (HDA) state-led planning proposals comprising approximately 170, 160 and 200 apartments respectively.

Our second sites in Neutral Bay and Drummoyne are also progressing through the local government DA process, with 45 apartments planned at Barry Street, Neutral Bay and a further 45 at St Georges Crescent, Drummoyne.

Together, these projects reflect the growing scale and diversity of our portfolio, bringing more housing to market across a broader range of price points, including affordable housing.
