Built on the traditional lands of the Cammeraygal people, Neutral Bay is a thousand places at once. It’s both a central artery that links Sydney’s CBD to the Northern Beaches, and a leafy village nestled between waterfronts north and south. It’s a foodie and social hub, boasting institutions like The Oaks alongside trendy laneway eateries and bars. It is also intimately grounded in the creative flair and heritage that has shaped generations of local artisans.
"The harbour, the amenity, the incredible lifestyle. When you live in Neutral Bay, you can't imagine living anywhere else."
Nathan Chivas
Managing Director, Central Element
Multi-faceted and family-friendly, it’s no wonder that Neutral Bay has earned its reputation as one of the most sought after suburbs in the Lower North Shore.

As the population of Neutral Bay grows and evolves, so too will it’s streetscapes and shopfronts. Playing a key role in this growth is Central Element’s Pienza development, located in the village centre.
Pienza is deeply informed by North Sydney Council’s strategies and goals to support local businesses and maintain the much-loved village atmosphere of Neutral Bay. With extensive community input, the Council recently published Stage 1 of their Military Road Corridor Planning Study — solely focused on the Neutral Bay town centre — and are already trialling some of its proposals, such as the new pedestrianised Young Street Plaza.
Another important boost to village vitality will be the increased opportunities for retail, restaurants, and cafés, including the retail frontages at Pienza Neutral Bay Village. Not only will these new businesses generate community interest, but they’ll also stimulate the economic value of the area.
With Pienza blazing the trail ahead, Neutral Bay Village will be a safe, active and amenity-rich destination for decades to come.
Neutral Bay Village is in a period of transformation, as demand for commercial, residential and community facilities intensifies.
North Sydney Council
Pienza has been intentionally designed to connect with the surrounding village, featuring 2,000sqm of street-level retail activation and a central location. Its impressive architecture and revitalised streetscape bring sophistication, style, and vitality to Neural Bay Village, serving as a catalyst for enhancing both its immediate environs and the broader suburb.
Currently under construction, Pienza is due for completion in Q2 2024. Once completed, it will inject a burst of energy into Neutral Bay.
