True to our distinctive approach, we led with collaboration and craftsmanship, breathing new life into the former West Olympia Theatre in Paddington, as it was transformed into a 109-room lifestyle hotel rich with narrative and character.
Epitomising the importance of collaboration, was the early and close engagement of specialist manufacturer Furn-Niche, who crafted and installed bespoke furniture and joinery across all guestrooms. Their involvement from the early tender and design phase ensured that the creative integrity was protected through every stage of production.
The hotel was developed in partnership with Richard Crookes Constructions, Accor’s Ennismore ‘25hour’ brand and a talented design team including Indyk Architects who led the interior design of guestrooms and public areas and Woods Bagot who were responsible for the F&B spaces.
Shelley Indyk of Indyk Architects speaks of how concept of “narrative architecture” shaped the interiors of the hotel – an approach that layers story, heritage and human connection into every space. Each room invites guests into a story of their own, defined by two distinct archetypes: Dreamer and Renegade.
“Design doesn’t exist in isolation. Working with people who genuinely understand the importance of the details and who are invested in protecting them makes all the difference between a concept that survives delivery and one that doesn’t.”

The result is an immersive, story-driven hotel that honours its cinematic past while offering a contemporary, experiential stay that’s as much about feeling as it is about form.
