The Malton, Central Element’s latest luxury development, has been conceived as a solution for the downsizing market, incorporating heritage features, luxury details, and lock-up-and-leave capabilities. The design by PBD Architects draws on the façade with historical significance and brings together classic design, the latest in appointments and spacious, light-filled living.
The design of the Malton retains the façade of two existing houses on the site, incorporating local historical elements into the development. On the development site at 6-8 Malton Rd, one of the houses was designed by architect C. Bruce Dellit. Dellit was a pioneer of art deco styling in Sydney and also responsible for the iconic Anzac Memorial in Sydney’s Hyde Park.
By retaining these elements, the development is inspired by the past yet designed for the future, with luxury finishes including timber floors, Miele or Gaggenau appliances, oak timber flooring and stone island benches.
The Central Element development team and our construction partners at Belvedere Projects are making great progress on site, with development structure now in place. With the basement, ground and level 1 concrete slabs in place, the team completed the rooftop slab pour last week, despite the rain.
The brickwork for the refurbishment is also now almost complete and our carpenters have now commenced work on the roof and flooring. March will be a particularly busy month on site as the team prepare to tile the roof. Also, the electrical, hydraulics and mechanical installations in the residences will also begin.
By the end of April, the external works will be complete for both residences at number 6 and 8 Malton Road. Come May, we will have commenced the external painting, ensuring the Malton will really impress from the street.
We look forward to providing you with further updates on the delivery of this project and are looking forward to handing over to our Malton homeowners this year.
