This month, our Mera development team reached an exciting construction milestone at our Cammeray site. The development has topped out; with the rooftop slab in place, the structure is now complete. When built, Mera will be a boutique development of 14 beautifully bespoke residences. Architecture and interiors have been masterfully crafted by the acclaimed PBD Architects and the finishes include and opulent ensemble of Gaggenau appliances, natural stone and timber.
Our builder, Heworth Constructions have been making great progress on what was a constrained and complex site from an accessibility standpoint. With the structure now complete, the team will soon be commencing the installation of plumbing and mechanical services and the internal framing systems on the ground floor apartments.
In keeping with our commitment to delivering quality homes shaped around the way people live, we have allowed our Mera purchasers to customise their apartments to truly reflect their needs. We look forward to handing over to them next year.
At Central Element, we’re focused on delivering more than just the bricks and mortar that make up our high-quality developments. We take pride in creating communities in which people can live happily and peacefully, close to the things that they love and value in life. Our ‘people-shaped property’ philosophy is what drives us to deliver and can be seen in the following precepts that guide our development process.
We understand that increasingly, people want to live in a home that allows for a lifestyle of accessibility, amenity, and convenience as opposed to a high maintenance home. In a way, it’s the new Australian property dream, and at Central Element, we are committed to designing developments that appeal to local communities.
Take our latest development, the Malton, for example. Tucked away in a leafy enclave just a minute’s walk from Beecroft Village, it is 70% sold out with completion due mid-2019. With a plethora of boutiques, bookstores, restaurants and cafes nearby, the Malton is ideally located, and it’s no surprise that it has generated fierce local interest.
More than 80% of enquiries came from within a 2km radius of the development, and all buyers have been from the local area. The Malton has been the premier option for local residents seeking an outstanding option for downsizing.
It’s simple at Central Element: our focus is always on our customers. We work closely with them to facilitate the best possible end result, allowing a high level of customisation so that they can purchase a home that fulfils their every need. Whether it’s additional built-in storage needs or customised kitchen finishes, we’ll do just about whatever it takes. For example, at the Malton, our development manager, Dean would spend hours with some purchasers in the display suite customising their residences to suit their lifestyle. According to Nathan Chivas, Development Director,
“Our development managers will often spend many hours with certain buyers to be as flexible as we can. Our philosophy is not about maximising density, we really care about our purchasers and get to know them, we take the time to create something that will actually enhance their way of life.”
At our MERA development in Cammeray, a married couple for 22 years, Tom and Linda Greene bought two apartments. To assist them in their quest for their dream home, we helped them consolidate the apartments, adjust the kitchen bench, add extra storage and adjust windows. The result was a very satisfied customer “we’ve ended up with exactly with what we’ve wanted,” says Tom.
Central Element’s design philosophy pays homage to the heritage of a neighbourhood while revitalising the community. Respecting and retaining original heritage facades and maximising communal space are defining hallmarks of recent developments. Across all our developments, Central Element proudly pioneers sustainable construction materials and processes.
“Every development is a collaboration with our design partners and begins with a development vision to determine how the project engages with each stakeholder and what its legacy will be to the area,” says our Development Director, Nathan Chivas. “Our team’s full suite of capabilities and expertise delivers superior architectural solutions. The planning team’s input at every stage ensures our projects meet strategic market demand and achieve uplift. Our designs emphasise innovation and optimise functionality and quality for maximum value.”
Central Element has three upcoming developments planned for 2019 and we look forward to continuing our focus on design and construction philosophies that place innovation and sustainability at the forefront.
At Central Element our team possesses an uncompromising commitment to quality, customer satisfaction and everything we do. From meeting with purchasers for hours to offer an array of customisation solutions, to staying on construction sites all night at times, or to our development managers personally selecting each individual plant at the nursery, we genuinely love what we do and deliver for our customers.
